Bill Drake – Executive Director

Bill became Executive Director in January of 2012.    He was an educator for 10 years with the San Marcos CISD where he taught Speech & Debate, Special Education and Gifted & Talent and was the Ropes Course Coordinator for the District.  He is a graduate the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Organizational Communication and received his Teaching Certification from Southwest Texas State University.  Bill’s wife, Elizabeth, is the District and High School Librarian for Burnet CISD and they have two grown daughters.  In his spare time he enjoys cooking and working in the yard.

Courtney Smith – Program Director

Courtney is a 2010 graduate of Burnet High School. She worked at Camp Longhorn for 12 years as a Staff Counselor, Swim bay Director, and Ropes Course Facilitator and Director. Courtney also served as a Life Skills Paraprofessional at Highland Lakes Elementary in Granite Shoals for 4 years, and she worked for the ACE program. She was the Unit Director at our Boys & Girls Club location in Granite Shoals before accepting her position of Program Director in February 2020. Courtney is passionate about her role and enjoys making a difference in the lives of children every single day.

Terri Wilkes – Resource Development Director

Terri Wilkes started her role as the Resource Development Director in November 2019. She has a background in marketing, corporate communications, management, and real estate. Terri has a passion for creating strong close connections with others. She is a member of several philanthropic organizations including Highland Lakes Service League and she believes in giving back to her community. She has lived in the Highland Lakes area for 31 years. She is a graduate of St. Edward’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication, and she is also a licensed realtor. Terri and her husband Lonnie have been married for 30 years and they have a grown son and a teenage daughter who is a Varsity Cheerleader. In her spare time, Terri enjoys spending time with her family and friends and attending all the high school events she can as a sideline Cheer Mom.

Hilda Garcia – Marble Falls Unit Director

Hilda started with the Boys and Girls Club in Marble Falls in May 2018 as a staff member for the summer.  In September after just a few months, Hilda was promoted to Administrative Assistant. Then in May 2019, Hilda was promoted again to the Unit Director for the Marble Falls Club location. Hilda has enjoyed her journey so far and is passionate about helping children and working with parents. She is married and has 4 children and a granddaughter. Besides being at her second home at the Boys & Girls Club,  she loves to spend time with her family, enjoying BBQ nights and going to the lake.

Brittany Conely – Burnet Unit Director

Brittany Conely was born and raised in Burnet. She has a passion for working with children and decided to join the Boys & Girls Club during the summer of 2017 as the Teen Center Director. In 2019, Brittany accepted the position of Burnet Unit Director. She has 1 son, and he attends the Burnet Boys & Girls Club. Brittany spends her spare time with family and friends.

Angelyn Drake-Harbour – Llano Unit Director

Angelyn started with The Boys and Girls Club in Llano in July of 2019 as the Unit Director. She has lived in Llano for about 10 years, having moved from Burnet. She has two sons. She chose this position with her sons in mind. She enjoys spending her workday with her children and many other children and according to her “nothing gets much better than that.”  Angelyn attended The Boys & Girls Club in Killeen while in foster care and she learned a lot from being there. Angelyn decided to become a foster parent herself due to her own personal experiences.

Melissa Bohn – Kingsland Branch Director

Melissa accepted a position with The Boys & Girls Club in September 2019 as a Youth Development Professional. She was promoted to our Unit Director for the Kingsland Branch in February of 2020. Melissa studied Child Psychology and Early Childhood Education at Central Texas College in Killeen. She has a teenage son and a son in elementary school. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Margret Garcia – Marble Falls Office Manager

Margret moved to Marble Falls in 2005 and started attending the Boys and Girls Club as a 5th grader. She has always had a love for The Boys and Girls Club from her memories of attending as a child. Her passion for childcare started in high school where she took 3 years of Child Development and Child Guidance courses. She volunteered at First Baptist Christian School from 2009-2012 through Marble Falls High School. She was recognized with 3 merit awards for her volunteer and academic work in Child Development. Margret graduated from Marble Falls High School in 2012.  She moved to Austin to continue her education at Austin Community College studying child development. In 2015, Margret relocated back to Marble Falls and worked as a manager at a local retail shop for 4 years. She missed working with children and applied for and accepted a position as the Administrative Assistant at The Boys & Girls Club in Marble Falls in August 2019. She loves every day of it.
